Finishing Quilts.....Ahhhhhh!

My Leaf Quilt only took me about ten years to finish.  LOL

Do you have quilts that you just set aside because they just take too much time to finish?

Well, I do.  And I am trying to finish them.

My Tahoe Quilt only took me six years, so I am getting faster.  Ha Ha!

These two quilts will be in the Amador Valley Quilters Quilt Show on April 25-26th this year in Livermore, CA.

This is the Amador Valley Quilter's Opportunity Quilt. And I was blessed to quilt it for them.

It will also be at the show, and the lucky raffle ticket holder will be the winner.

Now let's finish our quilts!  We can do it!!!

Happy quilting,

Darla

Summer is Coming

I was given these lovey batiks by a friend.  She gave me so much, that I shared with two of my friends and they made quilts too.  This is mine that I am calling Batik Pinwheels.  I quilted it with Flowing Ribbons and I think it turned out lovely.

Enjoy your summer and make something bright and cheerful.

Happy Sewing,

Fabulous Boho Hearts

Hello Everyone,

Here is my Boho Quilt!  It took about a year and a half to finish.  I mostly used fabric from my stash, which gave it a softer look.  I have four friends that are making the same heart, so we shared a variety of white fabrics for around the background of the heart.

Here is Audrey's heart quilt.

She chose to use pink, purple, and green fabrics.

And she has lavender minky on the back.

I just finished quilting hers yesterday.

Both quilts turned out so nice!

 Spring is Coming

I am loving the rain we are having.  This gives me time to sew and make more quilts.

Here are a couple of fun ones.  The Star quilt is for my Great, Great Niece.

And the Seahawk quilt is for my sister who is a Seahawk fan.  The center medallion was fun making.  When you place the triangle ruler on your fabric to cut out, it really gives it a different look when it is all sewn together.
Have fun sewing and enjoying the rain.

And I hope to see all the quilts you are making.

SNOW DAY, SEW DAY

Aren't these snow people cute!

It is so hard to think about Christmas, when it is 90 degrees outside.
Hopefully it will get cooler soon, and I can start thinking about making Christmas quilts.  But for now, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

More Quilts

I have been so busy quilting I forgot to blog.

So here are a few more quilts that I have quilted, that I thought you might enjoy.

Isn't this fabulous!
Reg made this one and I quilted it.

He also made this one which I quilted and both of the quilts were at the Vallejo Quilt Show a couple of weeks ago.

Reg's sister Lynda made this amazing star quilt, which was also at the show.

I was so blessed to be able to quilt all three of these.  I have some amazing customers!
